Migros Supermarket Kalkan - on the high street

The best-known and most visited supermarket in Kalkan is the Migros supermarket, located at the top of the high street, just above the area where the Thursday open market is held and just below the bus station. There is a car park outside this supermarket, unlike the other Kalkan supermarkets, which only have limited street parking near the entrance.

Migros Supermarket Kalkan - on Kalamar Road

This Migros supermarket is more convenient if you don’t want to spend too much time queuing because it is far less frequented than the ‘main’ Migros on the high street.

CarrefourSA Supermarket - above the taxi rank.

The original CarrefourSA supermarket is halfway up the street that leads from the taxi rank to the D400. Parking here can be tricky as it is on a busy road. This supermarket has a fresh fish and meat counter and stocks most items you would expect to find in your local supermarket.

CarrefourSA Supermarket - on Kalamar Road

This is the second CarrefourSA to come to Kalkan and is a welcome addition for visitors staying in the Kalamar area of Kalkan as it means you don’t have to travel too far back towards the main town to do a big shop.

Other High Street Kalkan Supermarkets

There are other high street supermarkets in Kalkan; however, they do not have a wide range of fresh products like Migros or Carrefour. They focus more on economically priced dried goods, snacks, soft drinks and cleaning products. See the list below for details on location and opening hours:

BIM

BIM is situated near the top of the high street, a little above the Migros Supermarket.

Please note that BIM closes on a Friday for Friday prayers, and this time alters daily in line with the praying times. It will be in the middle of the day, between 12:00 and 13:30.

A101 is located in the centre of the high street, slightly from the road below the Garanti Bank.

There are two Sok supermarkets along the main high street, one on either side of the road, a 2-minute walk apart.

Kalkan Supermarket Delivery Services

Try Can Can Supermarket if you don't have a car and require a grocery delivery service. The grocery store provides a free delivery service and is open from 8 a.m. to midnight. They also stock certain British groceries if you are feeling the need for some home comforts. You can extend your order to beer and wine. Other Kalkan Food Delivery Services

If you don’t feel in the mood to get dressed up and go into town, you can hire a caterer to come to your villa and cook for you. Some well-known Kalkan caterers include Wildflour Catering and Kalkan Catering. Several restaurants offer takeaway services to get your favourite Turkish or international cuisine delivered to your door. As Kalkan is a hub for foreign travellers, you can find various options, including pizzas, Turkish kebabs and pides, sushi and Indian, to name just a few. Fresh Produce and Meat

Kalkan is home to several greengrocers, three butchers and a fishmonger, all located along either side of the high street. If you prefer to support local businesses, you can visit one of these to get a lovely variety of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Kalkan’s Weekly Open-Air Market- Thursdays

The weekly market in Kalkan is held every Thursday. You can enjoy an exciting trip and discover a good range of items for sale, take part in a bit of bartering and stock up on your weekly supply of groceries too. Many stallholders selling food items have grown or prepared the goods by hand so you can get a real taste of authentic Turkish provisions. Various vendors selling great homemade dishes, fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, jewellery, shoes, homemade soaps, household items, houseplants, and delightful aromatic spices can be found in this bustling area.
